Prior to his involvement with Crossbridge Capital, Walid spent fifteen years in the worlds of private equity, corporate finance and entrepreneurship. In the early 1990’s he worked at Gemini Consulting, on the operational restructuring of large US multinationals, then left to set up his own technology businesses a few years later. By the late 1990’s, he had joined JP Morgan’s Technology, Media, and Telecom corporate finance group in London, working with a variety of clients on mergers, sales, debt and equity placements, as well as IPOs. He moved into venture capital in 2002 with Lago Partners, targeting US and European technology companies. In 2004, he founded Core Capital LLP, a UK focused small-mid market private equity house with £200m under management.
Walid received his BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering and Finance and MSc degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
